There are several free conference call providers that are easy to sign up for and use. Companies to consider are:
Rondee: This company offers a free conference call service that is easy to setup and use, either on demand or scheduled in advance. They provide features that you would pay for in other services such as a free audio recording, customizable greeting tones and participant reporting.
Premium paid services are available such as 1-800 access and call transcription.
FreeConferenceCall.com: This is also a simple and easy to use free conference calling service. Account signup only requires an email address and name. You are assigned your own permanent dial-in number for future use.
The Free Conference Call service charges a premium for Toll Free access (3.9 cents per minute) and screen sharing ($19.95 per month. They also offer helpful features such as outgoing audio messaging (5 cents per call, such as invitations, reminders and announcements).
Wiggio: The Wiggio service offers more than just conference calls. It is a group or team management platform for managing joint calendars, to-do lists, group polls, and for sending groups email and text. The platform also has a cloud based library. Basic features are free (such as those described above).
Premium Wiggio features include an administration portal, group analytics, and private branding to name a few. The company also offers a Wiggio App on the iPhone for mobile access.
GroupMe: GroupMe offers an interesting twist to conference calling. Each group is assigned a phone number. When that number is reached via text, an instant conference call starts with all group members. There are no bells and whistles such as scheduling or invitations, but as a basic team experience, it works extremely well.
Google Voice: Nothing could be easier than the Google Voice approach to conference calls. Simply give out your Google voice number to the group along with the requested time for the conference call. As people dial in, the owner of the number can approve each person and have them added to the call in progress.
